Fiscalization from 1 January 2026

Dear Sir/Madam,

A dual fiscalization system will be introduced in Croatia from 1 January 2026 – in addition to the cur-rent Fiscalization 1.0 system, Fiscalization 2.0 will also be implemented. This is one of the major re-forms that introduces fully digitalized issuing and control of invoices and in accordance with EU standards.

Limitation of work on Sundays and working hours from July 1, 2023

5. June 2023.

At the end of the first quarter of this year, the last amendments to the Trade Act, i.e. the Act on Amendments to the Trade Act (hereinafter: ZiDZT), were adopted, which will enter into force on July 1, 2023.

Donations to earthquake victims will not be subject to VAT

15. January 2021.

The exemption applies to all donations of goods and services made starting in December 2020 until the end of 2021.

The Croatian Parliament passed a package of tax amendments from the fifth round of tax reform, which entered into force on January 1, 2021
